Chris believes that 75% of basketball games are won in practice. Players must want to be coached and coaches must put players in positions to succeed. All must want to win for each other. Unity and effort is the key. That said, due to the limited time allotted for practice in youth basketball, 75% of practices should be geared for team oriented drills and scrimmages. The owness has to be on the player to continually improve skills outside of practices, and bring those skills to practice for the betterment of the team. Chris stopped playing competitively close to 20 years ago due to medical issues but has always had a passion for the “details” of basketball. Chris believes his positive experience to help youth grow their knowledge of the game will also help to improve their skills on the court.
