Hello Players and Parents,

Below you will find useful information about our philosophy….

The Mass Commanders/ICE Basketball program is about development and learning the game basketball. As an organization we strive to better our players’ chances to continue on with their athletic desires at higher levels of play. We are a MetroWest Mass based Club/AAU program. Most of our players are multi-sport student athletes, but we manage to make it all work. In the spring season, we will practice from mid March until the beginning of June, playing in 12+ games. The fall season teams will practice from September until the beginning of November playing in 8+ games. Individual teams can participate in more tournaments if the players and their families decide to do so.  Extra games may require additional fees that are paid for by the teams parents.

Our program is directly related to Reclaiming The Game, Inc. and ICE Basketball. Reclaiming The Game, Inc. and ICE Basketball are basketball skills development training companies. Reclaiming The Game, Inc. is affiliated with John Lucas Enterprises. Reclaiming The Game, Inc. and ICE Basketball hold clinics, individual skill development, small group training, and team training. For additional info about Reclaiming The Game, Inc. and ICE Basketball contact Rudy Crichlow, Jr. and/or Markus Potyranski.

Game time philosophy: Each player will use practice time to earn minutes.  Distribution of playing time will be fair but not even and distributed according to live game decisions. The entire organization will share the same philosophies that will be discussed prior to the start of the spring season.

Practice philosophy: Each player will practice on average 1.5-3hrs per week during the Fall and Spring seasons which includes Skills practices. Each practice will be consist of skills improvement and team play. Depending on the level the team is will determine the practice itinerary. Players will be treated as athletes, not position players. Each player will work on fundamentals as well as advanced skills throughout each season.
